Mehdi Karimiyan Eghbal who has been in detention for the past 10 months has not been able to take a prison leave and is in poor psychological condition.
According to the Gooya News Agency, Mehdi Eghbal who participated in the post- election Komeil Prayer ceremonies in Alzahra Hosseiniyeh was arrested on November 3, 2009. He was transferred to Ward 360 on May 26th after interrogations and the psychological torture inflicted on him in Ward 209.
The appeals court upheld his 4 year prison term on May 20, 2010. Two years of his prison term is for insulting the Supreme Leader. He was not able to take a prison leave despite the fact that he has been confined for the past 10 months.
