Khodnevis website writes: Mowj Sabz (Green Wave) website which was established and has been managed by a group of Mousavi’s supporters, announced today that the site will be out of circulation. The management indicated that this is a temporary situation which will allow other members of the Green movement, with fresh ideas to take over so that more measured yet organized steps can be taken. However, perhaps the real reason is something entirely different.
Following the closure of several of the media outlets which were supportive of Mousavi in late June, Mowj Sabz slowly became the Green movements organ.
In the last few days however it has become apparent that various issues have arisen such as the possible betrayal of the site’s password as a result of pressure on individuals who were members of the site and who would have been arrested recently.
One of the members of Mowj Sabz is of the opinion that if the current management transfers its information and news to a new editorial board that pressures on those who are under arrest will cease. A source told Khodnevis that one of the members of Mowj Sabz who in detention has been under severe pressure and threat in prison.
The closure of Mowj Sabz website can be a sign of a crumbling of the security networks inside Iran. Despite all this however it appears that the departure of a number of the online reporters from Iran, is the transference of the main objective of this network to outside Iran.
Editors note: At the moment a Google search for the Mowj Sabz website reads: .
