Greetings from the happy and pure soul of Neda to all of you dear compatriots… Today Iranians have gathered all over the world so that we can witness the strength of our collective energy, realize the opportunity we have before us and make the most of it.
We should stand shoulder to shoulder, whatever our religious beliefs or backgrounds, against the dictators of the so called ‘Islamic’ Republic. And then move forward towards freedom. The downfall of this regime is our common goal. [cheering]
Unfortunately due to a lack of information within a sector of our country, we have had to endure this for more than 30 years. But I hope that this movement, which I call a ‘revolution of consciousness’, will cause more and more people to join us. Yet we know that every victory has a price. Unfortunately this lack of information inside the country might make this price high whereas knowledge, openness, and information can reduce this price. I hope we don’t witness the loss of other Nedas.
Neda, through her actions, was able to leave a deep impression of herself inside each one of us. I promise you that just as tears rolled down your innocent faces when Neda passed away, it won’t be long before smiles will sit on your lips and happiness will cover your faces. And this happiness will be a gift from Neda’s soul and those of other martyrs of freedom.
I would like to thank all my dear compatriots who have gathered here, especially those who have worked so hard in the past few days to make this possible.
In the hopes of a free land.
Long live Iran. [cheers]
Thank you very much! Neda was a happy person. I wished there was more time to tell you about her. On this occasion of her 27th birthday, I would like us to listen to a happy song that she loved…
