2 Kurdish Merchants Killed 7 Injured in Border Shooting

On Monday February 15th, 2 Kurdish merchants were killed and 7 others were injured after being shot by security forces.

RAHANA – 2 Kurdish merchants were killed and seven others were injured in the Balkeh border region near Baneh, when security forces opened fire on their group.

According to RAHANA’s correspondent in Kurdistan, during the shooting Gharib son of Karim and Najmeddin son of Ali, both of them residents of Kandehsour village, were killed.

According to reports in the Iraqi-Kurdish media, Karzan Nouri Rasoul, a resident of the Kurdish city of Panjvain in Iraq, was killed during the same incident.

Security forces regularly open fire on Kurdish merchants and porters in the border area between Iran and Iraq. Many Kurdish Iranians have lost their lives as result of these ruthless shootings.
