According to the , one year prior to the Khomeinist revolution, in 1978, Kamran Daneshjou, Iranian Minister of Science who lived in Britain at the time, fell in love with a Greek girl named Olga. Olga was Greek Orthodox. In order to marry Olga, Daneshjou decided to convert and after his baptism, he was given the Greek name: Georgios.
According to the Islamic regime and one can be sentenced to death.
