Only 10 days after his transfer to a cell he shared with 3 other prisoners, Emad Bahavar has been moved back to solitary confinement, and his visitation rights have been revoked.
The transfer to the solitary happened after, intelligence agents, who were looking for cameras, raided the cell Bahavar shared with Jafar Panahi.
It has been reported that Bahavar and Amir Hossein Kazemi, who are both members of the Iranian Freedom Movement, are under intense pressure by their interrogators to make televised confessions.
Bahavar and Kazemi remain detained despite the fact that their temporary detention orders expired 15 days ago. Their families and their lawyers are in complete dark about their files, and have been threatened by the intelligence authorities.
RAHANA strongly condemns the use of torture to extract confession from prisoners as well as their arbitrary detention, and urges the judiciary to punish the perpetrators of such unlawful acts.
