Iranian mothers gathered for the first time on July 28, 2009 to march in Tehran; on Saturdays, dressed in black they called for the release of all political prisoners and for the prosecution of all those members of the forces of oppression. On the night of February 8, security agents stormed the houses of many of the mothers and arrested nineteen of them. We demand their immediate release, the unconditional release of all political prisoners and the swift prosecution of the oppressors.
