27Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRA), Thoughts and Expression unit report: Shirin  Alam-Hoei (Ronahi Rokan), a woman political prisoner, was sentenced to life on January 10, 2010 by Tehran’s Revolutionary Court under the charge of ‘Moharebeh’ (enmity against God).

Shirin Alam-Hoei who is a resident of Makoo (a city in western Azerbaijan), was charged with Moharebeh because of her link to opposition parties and military actions. On May 28, 2008, she was arrested and in mid-October 2009, her court hearing was held in branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court. On January 10, 2010, her sentence was announced.
