The celebrated Iranian literary scholar Mohammadreza Shafiei Kadkani will be teaching at Princeton University.  He left Iran on Thursday, August 27 for a one-year study opportunity at Princeton University, Mehr News Agency reported.

Shafiei Kadkani is a professor of literature at the University of Tehran and is renowned for his work on literary criticism and modern Persian poetry.

According to mowjcamp.com web site, however, Shafiei Kadkani has left Iran for good and has decided to live in the US.  No reason has been given for the decision. But his absence will certainly be felt by his students and the literary community in Iran.
