Armin Rajabpour, a University of Guilan student was arrested following his summon to the Tracking office of Intelligence Ministry.

The Students’ Unit of HRA reports that Armin Rajabpour Nikna, a Mechanical Engineering student at University of Guilan was arrested after being summoned to the Tracking Office of the Intelligence Ministry on December 6.

In response to his father’s follow-up, Intelligence Ministry officials told him not to seek any information about Armin’s status until his trial is held. An hour later, Intelligence Ministry agents searched Armin Rajabpour’s house and confiscated his personal computer and other personal belongings. His family has received absolutely no information about his condition since his arrest.

During the past two months, arrests of more than 80 students by security and intelligence officers have been documented, most of whom are kept in solitary confinement. Following the Student Day protests, over 240 additional people have been arrested, the identities of many of them have not been revealed.
