Today, at 5 p.m. residents of Sanandaj (Province of Kurdistan) who protested the execution of Kurdish activist Ehsan Fattahian clashed with provincial police, leading to the injury and arrest of several of the protestors.  Following the protests however plainclothes agents stormed the houses of a number of political and human rights activists, arresting them. Reportedly, student activist Amer Gowli was among those arrested and transported to an unknown location. It is important to mention that Amer is the son of Fatemeh Goftari, member of the Mothers for Peace brancch of the Azarmehr Womens Association of Kurdistan who has been arrested several times and is currently herself serving a prison term. Also Amer’s brother, Yasser is a student-with-stars who last year was charged with acting against the regime’s security and authority and sentenced by the revolutionary court of Sanandadj to 15 years in prison in the province of Kerman’s Shahr-Baft prison.
