Iranian Minster of Intelligence, Heydar Moslehi

* * Iran’s minister of intelligence, Heydar Moslehi has claimed that an investigation lead by agents a ‘his’ ministry have come up with inforamtion  that demonstrates that the opposition leaders have received over a billion dollars from foreign countries. The Iranian regime-run media outlet, Iranian Labor News Agency reported that during a press conference Moslehi announced that the accusations made by firebrand Mullah Janati about the financial assistance of foreign elements to the opposition leaders is not only true but the amount stated is probably an underestimation.  Heydari boasted that his ministry’s efforts at combating and quashing all forms of sedition against the Iranian regime has had great success and added that due to certain limitations and concerns a number of issues cannot be publicized. He did however emphasize that that the so-called great sedition was supported by heavy budgets supplied by the US, Mossad, Britain and various other self-interested countries and groups. He went on to say: “Now we have a better opportunity to pursue the foreign support which is surfacing one after the other.”

* * Mehdi Sharifi, Director General of the Ministry of Interior’s Publicly Founded Organizations (known as SAMAN), announced that by the end of the year 1389 (March 2011) all Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) will be supervised under adjudication laws being structured for specifically governing them. Sharifi emphasized that at present the proposal is being considered by an Iranian parliamentary committee which upon approval will send it for passing to the parliament members.  Once an organization is presented with a permit, that NGO must meet the new legal standards. Those standards are that each organization would come under the supervisory jurisdiction of three government bodies which are the Security Forces, the Ministry of Intelligence and finally specific governmental bureaus that specialize in the field where the NGO is active. Each NGO will also be inspected on a yearly basis.

* * The Iranian regime cancels its own TV shows in order save face. A TV show entitled Deerooz, Emrooz, Farda (Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow) which has been a show broadcast on the Iranian regime’s Channel 3 has been canceled due to the fact that it was said to be showing too much on the divisions among the elite of the Iranian regime.

Hashem Rezayat, the Chairman of the network said: “The producers of this program realize that given the Supreme Leader’s proclamation regarding ‘criticism, free-thinkers and round-tables’ shows on television must be restructured in order to be acceptable for broadcast.”

Saied Hadadian (left in light gray jacket) alongside Ahmadinejad in happier days

* * More infighting among the hardliners of the Iranian regime. Based on published reports, Saied Hadadian, one of the highest ranking members of the plain clothes agents, who is said to be close to and highly favored by the Supreme Leaders has said: “Ahmadinejad is a stubborn and willful individual who is clearly anti-clergy. Stubbornness and willfulness are evil traits. Some say that Ahmadinejad’s comments are as a result of Esfandiar Rahim Mashai‘s (bad) influence but I disagree with that sentiment and believe that everything that comes out of Ahmadinejad’s mouth is his opinion and that he actually believes what he says. Ahmadinejad is no longer considered to be among the members of Hezbollah. Neither I myself, nor Hadji Mansoor Arzi or anyone else for that matter have any regard for Ahmadinejad. We members of Hezbollah can no longer stand up to and challenge our clergy’s elite and the Marajeh (plural for the word Marja or Source of Imitation).”
