The Iranian regime which is said to have been taken off guard reacted by reporting in one of the state-sponsored websites that the two shipping companies were in fact registered legally in Britain and that they have no acted unlawfully.
Reja News, a site close to Khamenei published a piece attacking the Iranian regime officials, criticizing them for ‘not doing their homework’ where British law is concerned. The site also wrote that the incompetence of the Iranian authorities who oversee these issues must be mindful of protecting Iranian property and has demanded they familiarize themselves with international laws or hiring knowledgeable people who can handle the job, preventing any such occurrences in the future.

The Iranian regime agents who arrested him, did not provide him with a receipt that would allow him to reclaim his passport. The Shi’ite-Sunni relations in Iran are and always have been strained as the Iranian regime’s leadership which is strictly Shi’ite is intolerant of any other sect than their own. And especially following the Jundollah suicide bombings in Zahedan two weeks ago, the Iranian regime has mounted pressure on all residents of Zahedan and the province of Sistan and Baluchestan in general.
