According to Iskanews, A.Sh had been arrested for smuggling 496 grams of heroin and crack in Ahvaz. He was sentenced to death in the Revolutionary Court based on Article 8 of the code which gives the maximum punishment for possessing, transporting, distributing, and selling more than 30 grams of heroin, morphine, and cocaine.

According to this report, a short time after A.Sh’s execution, A.A was hanged for smuggling 1.375 kilograms of heroin in the Kout Abdollah Road, next to an Abadan Motel, in Ahvaz.
