Iranian Regime forces occupy the regime-run radio and television, Seda o Seema Broadcasting in Tehran. According to various Iranian websites and blogs, a group called Jonbesh’eh Jam’eh Yaaraan (Yaaraan Coalition Movement) has issued a formal statement claiming that it had gained access to one of IRIB’s buildings and had been able to momentarily preempt regular broadcasting.

First a the 7pm news broadcast of Channel 3 of IRIB was briefly reempted and then eye-witness reports of gun shots heard around the Jaam’eh Jam Building. Moments before midnight, a statement signed by the spokesperson of this group was issued claiming a brief takeover of the building. After taking all security precautions, the exact timing and location of the incident will be disclosed to the press. No official source has confirmed the news as of the time of this broadcast.

The Yaaraan Coalition Movement had just recently published its mission statement announcing the launching of its activities by the group comprised of dissenting members of the Revolutionary Guards and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security.

According to their statement issued on June 12, 2010, the Yaaraan Coalition Movement operatives which is comprised of trained members of the IRGC, several members of the armed forces, and agents of the intelligent forces, all dressed in civilian clothes, forced their way into the National Radio & TV station, and after confronting the security guards (without bloodshed), took control of several key offices and the building security. The takeover led to a disruption of the regular programming including the 7 o’clock News hour.

After demonstrating the extent of their power and maneuvering the degree of their influence and ability to infiltrate the heavily guarded and impervious centers, the Yaaraan Coalition Movement forces proceeded to leave the building.

Further information about this incident and other plans of the group will soon be released to the public.
