Ahamdinejad at the US visa section: I beg you…please give me a visa; my is running out of juice and it needs recharging (at the U.N.)

He says: “First, 2500 years ago, slavery was abolished throughout Iran and during these 2500 years, there has never been any sign of slavery either. The second command was freedom for all, freedom of religion and freedom of thought. During these 2500 years there has never been any religious wars, conflicts, or any religious prejudice which would have lead up to elitism and dissension in Iran. If the real history and culture of the people of Iran is properly introduced to the world at large, there will be no more room for the deceit of the overlords to try to define us. Of course this culture that abolished slavery 2500 years ago, that has allowed freedom of thought, freedom of religion and worship and freedom of speech and dialogue, when the veil of mist is lifted off of us and we can be seen for who we really are, the people of the world will flock to our culture. Now let’s speak of science and philosophy: Were and what is the history of this country’s philosophy? Allow me to impart two stories here. One is the matter of the rotation of planet earth around the sun; according to what they wanted us to believe, some Italian scholar is the one who supposedly discovered this fact and then they wanted to kill him – which we have been fed this stuff through films, books, cartoons and every other possible means. What I’m telling you is documented. In our history however, we know that more than a thousand years ago, it was Abu Ali Sina and Abu Rayhan whose findings regarding this fact were proven and accepted. This was never an issue for anyone to then go and put anyone on trial. Our Jalali calendar is more than a thousand years old and only need one second of correction every thousand years…” You can imagine the rest without our staff translating the remaining 4 minutes!

* * Even Afghans hate Mahmoud! Protesting the abuse of Afghans in Iran, a large number of Afghan protesters gathered in front of the Iranian embassy in Kabul on Saturday, May 1st, carrying large placards that read “Death to Ahmadinejad.”

In recent weeks several Afghan nationals were executed in Iran; and over the years scores of Afghans who had migrated to Iran to escape either the war in Afghanistan or the Taliban were arrested, tortured and many were executed.

Afghans have called on the government of Afghanistan to confront the Iranian regime and to take serious steps in addressing this issue. A number of the members of the Afghan parliament have taken a strong stance on this matter and are demanding answers from the regime in Tehran.

The Afghan government and the regime in Tehran however deny the occurrence of such incidents and refuse to acknowledge any and all proof. At present two million Afghans still reside in Iran.

* * And now for another episode of Mullah wars: Ali-Akbar Mohtashamipour, a reformist member of the Iranian Parliament (Majles) attacked , of planning to root out the Supreme Leadership.  Mohatashimipor who spoke at a university student group assembly said: “I am certain, Mr. Messbah Yazdi does not even believe in the Leadership, Imam Khomeini or Ayatollah Khamenei.”  Mohtashamipour who is a senior member of the Combatant Clerics stressed: “The that is controlled by Messbah-Yazdi are a bloodthirsty and ruthless underground movement who are using Ayatollah Khamenei as a stepping stone to achieve their own aims. The Hojjatiyeh has lodged itself within the Alghadir Foundation which is where all plans against Imam Khomeini’s ideas and publications are devised.”

The Alghadeer International Foundation, is an organization headed by Abolghassem Khaz’ali, a hardline octogenarian Mullah who is an ardent supporter of Ahmadinejad. Khaz’ali describes its objective as “promotion of the ideology of religious government.” Over 40 of Iranian professors, seminary teachers and government executives are amongst Alghadeer’s Board Members.  Alghadeer is also active in Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, India and the United Arab Emirates.

Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi is one of the most prominent supporters of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and one of the fiercest opponents of the reformist government of Mohammad Khatami.  The followers of Mesbah Yazdi have also been referred to as “Mesbahieh.”

Hojatieh Association is an organization that was founded over 50 years ago by a Shiite cleric, Sheik Mahmoud Halabi, to defend Islam against Baha’ism and to “make preparations for the re-appearance of the last Imam.”
