After 60 days of receiving no information and thinking that is detained in Evin prison, we found out today that he is detained in Rajai Shahr prison

RAHANA – The father of Baha’i prisoner Babak Mobasher and a close relative of Navid Khanjani said through tears, “After 60 days of receiving no information and thinking that [Babak] is detained in Evin prison, we found out today that he is detained in Rajai Shahr prison.”

According to RAHANA, Babak’s father is concerned about his son’s chances of obtaining a lawyer, considering that lawyers who take on Baha’i clients are threatened and placed under pressure [by the regime]. So far no lawyer has agreed to take on Babak’s case.

Babak Mobasher was arrested on January 3, 2010. The Islamic Republic of Iran does not officially recognize the Baha’i faith, as a result, Baha’is in Iran after the 1979 revolution have been faced with constant difficulties.
